Warsaw
Brimming in history, the capital of Poland for over four centuries is full of palaces and green areas which lie comfortably alongside modern architecture and welcoming little cafés. The city is certainly well worth a visit of several days so as to experience this special atmosphere.

You can admire the city which cascades below you from atop the giant Palace of Culture and Science. Visit the Royal Castle, the gothic paved streets and Baroc-style palaces in the old town, which were destroyed by German troops during the War but were carefully reconstructed. Be sure to visit the main sites in the old town, and notably the Monument of the Insurrection and superb Krasinski Gardens; or walk along the Royal Route to visit all of the splendid treasures that Warsaw has to offer.
